  • Babies first adjustable frame jig

So after months of scraping around for information and countless high dollar quotes from local machine shops, I decided to order some pieces and start building my second jig, this time it'll be adjustable and easy to transport cause I don't have a garage and don't wanna leave it somewhere I can't keep an eye on it.

First pieces came in, now to pick up some metal to start assembling. I got a basic kit from chopsource, paid a lil less than $250, which is what I was quoted for the neck section alone. Stay tuned

I bought the harbor freight motorcycle lift. Paid 300 bucks and it was well worth every penny.

Built mine out of an old mortuary trolley I got on eBay and some aluminium chequer plate from a friend in a scrapyard. Scissor action, lifts to 5' +, presumably to get the stiffs out of the top 'fridges hahaha. You don't realise how much they make life easier until you've got one!!

Plan on getting a live one on there one night hahaha. The lift is probably the most useful thing I've ever made, makes life so much easier. I extended it 6" either end and riveted the chequer plate to the top. One day I'll modify it a bit, perhaps put a removable plate in to make dropping wheels easier??
I've gathered some parts together to make another, using a cab tipping ram and pump off a truck.....
